Security Systems

By admin

SecurityMonitored security systems are a must-have in today’s society. With the Department of Justice reporting an average of over 8,000 home invasions per day, it is becoming an all too common occurrence. When taking preventative steps in their own homes our customer’s often report personal property to be the least of their concerns. Customers with preconceived opinions based on older security systems have asked: Can a security system really do much to prevent the modern criminal? With the advancements in technology, security systems no longer just protect your doors and windows. Security systems today can monitor internal movements using infra-red and microwave technologies built-in to the newest motion detectors. They can also sense the smash-and-grab type intrusions with the use of high frequency glass break detectors. Besides home invasions, security systems can also monitor for fire, carbon monoxide, and flooding even when the system is disarmed. And if all of this isn’t enough: most insurance companies offer an annual 15-20% discount on your homeowner’s policy for having a monitored security system in place.  Let ISX walk through your business or residence with you.  Our trained security experts will work with you to design a security system that will put your mind at ease.

Distributed Audio & Video

Distributed Audio

For both businesses and residential customers alike the decision to distribute both your audio and video content from one centralized location can cut both costs and clutter. By utilizing properly placed keypads and smart devices from within any room you will have the ability to control all of your sources and in many cases receive the metadata content information as well (i.e. song title, station name, etc.). Customers have often found that their listening and viewing experiences significantly improve due to the increased quality of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, along with the higher video resolutions displayed on their television.  Let ISX design a custom built A/V solution for you that puts the control in the palm of your hand.

Structured Cabling

By admin

Structured CablingStructured cabling design and installation is governed by a set of standards that specify best practices for wiring data centers, offices, homes and apartment buildings for data or voice communications using various kinds of cable (i.e. CAT-5E, CAT-6, and fiber optic cabling). These standards define how to lay the cabling in various topologies in order to meet the needs of the customer. Typically this entails running all cabling to between one and four distribution points depending on the size of the building. At each of these locations cabling is neatly dressed usually into a 19 inch rack where it is terminated onto patch panels. Each cable is also terminated at its particular device location and tested to ensure it meets specific standards.  At ISX we have trained engineers that can design a structured cabling system that will meet your voice and data infrastructure needs for decades to come.
